Hello.
Last night at one in the morning I decided it would be a good idea to try and record a different version of ‘History’ using the limited resources in my bedroom. This was probably a bit silly considering it’s one of the few songs we’ve actually recorded properly and we’ve got loads of other stuff not recorded at all. Nevertheless, after a couple of hours of trying not to be too noisy to annoy the neighbours and tapping boxes for makeshift drums I ended up with this. I actually quite like it.
If you click on ‘free download’ then you can download it (if you like).
We’ll get to work on actual proper new stuff now.
Cheers!

There’s a big queue of people outside my door.
Turns out it’s the queue to audition for “Britain’s Got Talent”.
There’s no way I can get out of my flat without ending up in the queue to audition for “Britain’s Got Talent”.
I don’t want to audition for “Britain’s Got Talent”.
I just want to buy some bread.

Buster Keaton is really cool. He had a brilliant hat, and one time David Bowie read a book about him.
Here’s some photo evidence.
Once, he even starred in a music video by The Spook School, despite having been dead for quite some years at the time.
Most importantly though, Buster Keaton was an incredible comic actor from that time when people didn’t talk quite so much in films. He was also one hell of a director and pulled off stunts that would make Jackie Chan weep.
Basically, he was the best at everything. Chaplin who?
Below, you’ll find two of my favourite Keaton films/shorts, The Blacksmith, and Sherlock Jr. The Blacksmith contains the funniest man-horse double act ever seen, and Sherlock Jr. is both hilarious and a completely genius piece of film-making. If you don’t like them, seek help. If you do, there’s plenty more on youtube and even more available to download for free over at the Internet Archive (this takes you to Keaton’s wonderful film ‘The Cameraman’ http://www.archive.org/details/busterkeatonthecameraman)
ENJOY!

Hello!
It’s taken a couple of days to get round to posting this, but it’s very good news.
We got voted #1 in Edinburgh Man’s best of 2011! Yeah!
We’re all big fans of the podcast, so it really means a lot to be voted so high. Especially when you consider all the other songs in the list. Quite an honour to even be included among them really.
I’m still quite confused why anyone would vote for us in such a great list of songs. Thanks very much if you did though! Was a very nice end of year surprise.
I’d recommend you listen to the podcast if you haven’t already (or even if you have!). It’s really very good entertainment. Got pretty exciting as the countdown went on. By the time it got down to the top 5 we were pretty sure we hadn’t made it into the top 50. We were all very surprised.
Anyway, I’m going on like it’s the Oscars or something…… I’d like to thank my dog, and my postman, and my hairdresser…..
also…. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We had lots of fun playing Glasgow Popfest a few weeks ago. For those of you who didn’t manage to make it round, some lovely people filmed bits of our set on their movie picture machines. This means we are now on YouTube. Oooh, very nice!
Here’s a live staple we’ve not got round to recording yet. It’s called ‘Here We Go’. Here you go…
It’s not Christmas any more. Oh well. Niall got a bit carried away…
‘Devil Of Mine’…
There are lots of other videos of bands much better than us at the popfest up on the youtubes. You could sit and watch them for hours. I advise you do.
See you soon!
